Solar Impulse 2 plane makes successful first landing in Oman in round-the-world record attempt

A solar-powered plane has completed the first leg of its five-month journey in a bid to become the first of its kind to fly around the world.

The single-seater aircraft, Solar Impulse Two (Si2), landed in the Omani capital, Muscat, about 13 hours after taking off from Abu Dhabi.
