READING THE WORD AND UNDERSTANDING

Picking my Bible , read a chapter but couldnt understand , turned to another chapter yet I still cannot connect , fruustrated  I went to bed can you relate to this when you read the word of God and yet you can feel no connection until I took certain steps that has made reading the word of God very enjoyable that once I start reading am so excited.
FIRST : The moment you open the Bible pray to the Holy Spirit to teach you but why should I invite the Holy Spirit ? The Bible was written by men/women but totally inspired by the Holy Spirit He is the author so  He can tell you everything . When you write a book , without reading through you can explain to someone about your book because you wrote it .
SECOND ; Dont rush by reading and because you want to reach a target you can read a chapter for a week to understand it . When you are in a rush to finish the bible you rush through and even when God wants to speak to you through the word of God , you are not attentive.
THIRDLY: Dont just pick the Bible and open any chapter. Their is the habit of just random opening and reading .Start from the first chapter to understand the position , situation from the beginning of the writer
FOURTHLY:Write , take notes , when confused write the question read again , the notes would help you for references
Make it a daily routine start with a chapter a day then progress to two .
