"Fill Me Up": Gospel Singer Recounts Her Road to Success

Casey J has been described as the "vegetarian, school teacher who has the #1 gospel song in the country."
Her song "Fill Me Up" sits at the top of multiple Billboard charts. But to students at one Georgia elementary school, Casey J is simply Ms. Hobbs, their math teacher.
She says her classroom was where God gave her the inspiration to write the song.
"I was just in my classroom and I heard God say he wanted to do something different with me, but he needed me to give him a yes now," she told CBN News.
That yes led to her debut album,"The Truth,"  which was recently released.
Casey J paid a visit to CBN News to talk about how her new role in full time ministry and the journey to get here.
Her advice to others who hope to see success in the Christian Music industry?  "Serve, and serve with the heart of service," says Casey.
"God will honor that heart because he's looking for people that just want to serve and he will use them in profound and amazing ways, "
she continued.
