Mayday: Anne Graham Lotz Warns Judgment Is Near

Billy Graham's daughter is sounding an alarm to Christians across the nation, calling America's Church to cry out to God in prayer and repentance.

Anne Graham Lotz says God is sending clear signs that His judgment is coming on America and the world.

"I believe Jesus is soon to return to take all of His followers to Heaven with Him in what is referred to as The Rapture," she wrote in a message on her website.

"While this will be deliverance for His people, can you imagine the impact on our nation, let alone the world, when suddenly every single authentic Christian disappears?" she asked.

"There will be mass chaos, confusion, fear, grief, despair, anger, threats, danger… judgment," Lotz warned.

That's why she's launched the Mayday Prayer Initiative, a distress call for prayer.

Since May 15, she's been asking Christians worldwide to pray one hour a day for the Church and America, focusing on praise and worship, confession and repentance, and spiritual warfare and intercession.

The initiative runs through May 23, the day before Pentecost Sunday.

This Mama Helps 'Garbage Kids' Dream Big

CAIRO, Egypt -- In recent years, Egyptian Christians and Muslims alike have suffered at the hands of Islamic extremists.

But the light of Christ shines in the lowliest of places. One Egyptian woman picked up her cross and left an affluent life to bring hope to impoverished children surrounded by garbage.

For the many Christians living in Cairo's garbage slums, the only life they know is garbage picking, sorting through tons of trash each day for recyclables.

"Many of them had a lot of discrimination and persecution in the rural areas," author Marty Makary explained. "And when they moved, migrated into the city, there was no place really to live except in the trash for many of them that were poor, mostly driven by the bad economy but in part by the discrimination for jobs."

"They decided to sift through the trash. It's the most efficient recycling operation in the world," he added.

And those who visit these Cairo neighborhoods will see garbage everywhere--in the streets, and even piled inside the homes of the Zabaleen, the garbage people.

Many children here do not attend school. They spend their days picking through the garbage to help their families earn a few dollars per day.

It's a hopeless existence, but one Christian's goal is to give them love today and a future tomorrow.

Mama Maggie, as she is known, hopes to give them a chance at life outside the slums.

Makary is the co-author of a new book about Mama Maggie's work called, Mama Maggie: The Untold Story of One Woman's Mission to Love the Forgotten Children of Egypt's Garbage Slums. 

Makary traveled to Cairo to learn more about the ministry.

"Unlike Mother Teresa, who came from poverty and took a vow of poverty, Mama Maggie came from wealth. And during an encounter when she was a successful marketing executive, connected with a child in the garbage slums--a famous district of Cairo that has been mostly neglected," he said.

She found joy and happiness there and returned over time. She eventually gave up her marketing career and started a ministry called Stephen's Children.

"Many times when the kids are asked what do you want to do when you grow up, they've really never thought that far in advance. And some of the kids, can you believe, have never been called by their name by anyone," Makary said. "But no one has ever valued them and asked them that question."

One girl said she only dreamed of having a piece of tomato to eat. Another child said his dream came true at a Stephen's Children camp where he actually slept in a bed.

But dreaming big means learning a skill. Mama Maggie's ministry teaches the children a trade like shoe and clothing manufacturing--marketable skills for earning money and serving others, whether in the garbage slums, or elsewhere.

A 17-year-old Texas teenager who suddenly collapsed while in P.E. class has claimed to have seen Jesus after going 20 minutes without a heartbeat. Zack Clements described Christ as having "long ruffled hair and kind of a thick beard," while his family said that they are convinced what happened to him was a "miracle."
"When I was out those 20 minutes, I saw a man who had long ruffled hair and kind of a thick beard, and it didn't take me long to realize that that was Jesus," Clements said, according to CBS Dallas-Fort Worth.

The teenager, who attends Victory Life Academy in Brownwood, Texas, says that he suddenly collapsed on May 5 during P.E. class, from where he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors worked to revive him, but he remained without a heartbeat for 20 minutes. After they finally got a pulse, he was airlifted to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, and woke up in the intensive care unit days later.
His father, Billy Clements, admitted that the story, which has been reported on by several websites, will be difficult for many people to accept. He said, however, that it makes sense for his family.
"For him to wake up and tell us something he experienced like that. It's just you can't explain it. It's not humanly possible to explain it," Clements told CBS.
A YouCaring page set up online by a relative is seeking donations to help pay for the teenager's medical bills.

The latest update on his condition, posted on Saturday, reads: "Cardiologist said NO surgery is needed. Zack was fitted for his life vest yesterday and will wear that for the next four weeks. After that time, we will return to Cooks for another MRI of his heart. If all looks well, he will not even need the ICD. We are not sure when they will be sending us home yet, but hopefully soon."
The page has currently risen a little over $10,000 out of its $20,000 goal.
Back in April, The Christian Post interviewed 12-year-old schoolgirl Annabel Beam, who has also talked about meeting Jesus following a near-death experience. Annabel, who was 9 years old at the time of the incident, fell headfirst 30 feet inside a hollowed-out cottonwood tree while playing with her sisters on the family farm in Texas, but miraculously escaped without injury.
"I remember it was really bright and I saw my Mimi (grandmother) who had died a couple of years back, and that's how I knew that I was in heaven," Annabel told CP. "And I asked Jesus if I could stay and He said: 'No Annabel, I have plans for you on Earth that you cannot fulfill in heaven.' Then he said whenever the firefighters get you out there will be nothing wrong with you."

Colombian Mudslide Kills 49 People

A roaring avalanche of mud and debris hit the Colombian town in the middle of the night when most people were fast asleep.

At least 49 people have been killed in a flood and mudslide triggered by heavy rains in western Colombia.

An avalanche of debris and mud sent bridges and homes plunging into the steep Libordiana ravine in the town of Salgar at 3am local time.
Residents described being woken up by a loud rumble and neighbours' shouts of, "The river! The river!"
Resident Diego Agudelo, who has lived next to the ravine for 34 years, said: "There were rocks and tree trunks everywhere. The river took out everything that was in its path."
Another resident Jorge Quintero said: "When I felt my house shaking we got out, my family, we got out and when we got out, well, we were stuck in the middle of the landslide, it was coming from both sides and we were in the middle.
"It swept away a house on this side and we were there in the middle, terrifiedThe flooding also destroyed the town's aqueduct and knocked out electricity and other public services.
Authorities are calling on volunteers to send water, food supplies and blankets to stem what they described as humanitarian emergency.
Salgar, a town of around 18,000 people, lies amid one of Colombia's major coffee-growing regions.

Nurse Victorino Chua has been found guilty of murdering and poisoning patients in the hospital where he worked.

The Filipino father-of-two injected insulin into saline solutions before returning them to storage leaving unsuspecting colleagues to administer the poison.
In other cases he falsified patients' charts to increase the dosage of prescribed drugs.
In the summer of 2011, two years after Chua arrived at Stepping Hill hospital in Stockport, patients suddenly started to suffer unexpected attacks caused by low blood sugar levels.
Two patients - Tracy Arden, 44, and Alfred Weaver, 83, died as a resultAnother of his victims, 41-year-old Grant Misell, has been told he might never recover from the serious brain damage he suffered at the nurse's hands.
In a letter found by police following his arrest Chua had written what he described as "a bitter nurse confession".
In the 13-page document discovered in a kitchen drawer at home the 49-year-old warned that there was "a devil" in him.
In broken English he said: "I'm writing this letter in case something happen to me my family can continue my case or can tell somebody to look at it and work out how an angel turn to an evil person.The document was part of an attempt by Chua to manage the anger and frustration that had prompted him to visit an occupational health counsellor at work.
The condition of one of his poisoning victims, patient Linda McDonagh, deteriorated rapidly after she was admitted to Stepping Hill.
The 59-year-old was severely ill with motor neurone disease and was unable to tell nurses how she was feeling as the insulin took hold.
She survived the attack but died seven months

Key Iraqi City Of Ramadi 'Falls To IS'

Iraqi troops abandon their weapons and flee as Islamic State flushes out the last pockets of resistance in the cityhe Iraqi city of Ramadi has been captured by Islamic State after days of intense fighting and bombings by the terror group, officials say. "Ramadi has fallen," said Muhannad Haimour, spokesman for the governor of Anbar province.
"The city was completely taken ... It was a gradual deterioration. The military is fleeing."
He also confirmed the provincial command centre in the city had fallen into enemy hands.
A colonel among troops who had withdrawn added: "Daesh has just taken full control of all main security bases", using an Arabic acronym for IS.
But Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi ordered government forces to "hold their positions".
He called on troops, tribesmen and other elite forces to push the militants out of Ramadi.
A purported message by Islamic State on a jihadist internet forum also appeared to confirm the city was firmly in its grip.
"God has enabled the soldiers of the caliphate to cleanse all of Ramadi," read the message.
One officer inside the captured command base described being surrounded, with mortars "raining down" and IS fighters "in almost every street".
Local television also reported that Iraq's prime minister, Haider al Abadi, is sending in Shia militias and has urged troops to hold their positions until they arrive.

Activists Warn Congress of Christian 'Ethnic Cleansing'

Every day, thousands of Christians in the Middle East are brutally persecuted by Islamic jihadists demanding they convert to Islam or pay the penalties.

Many groups are urging lawmakers to step up to assist those being tortured and discriminated against.

Speakers from around the world gathered in Washington, D.C., to discuss the horrors Middle East Christians are facing on a daily basis.

"Entire ancient Christian communities right now are being wiped out by hatred and terror," Yael Eckstein, senior vice president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, said.

The IFCJ and Concerned Women for America came together to discuss the dangerous persecution going on in the Middle East.

CBN's Erick Stakelbeck moderated the panel as speakers focused on religious persecution and what American policymakers can do to stop these atrocities.

Terrorism expert Dr. Walid Phares, who took part in the panel discussion, said we are witnessing the worst conditions for Christians in the Middle East since the rise of the Islamic State caliphate.

"The case can be made that in Iraq and Syria alone Christian minorities are under danger of complete ethnic cleansing," Phares said. "This is a demographic catastrophe."

Other panelists argued we must not be afraid to refer to those committing these heinous crimes as Islamic jihadists.We need to identify what's happening in order to accurately fight it," Concerned Women for America President Penny Nance said.

Eckstein emphasized the need for the Jewish and Christian communities to unite against those persecuting them.

"They're not kicking out the Christian community because they don't have anywhere to go," Eckstein said. "They're just killing them, and so we're seeing mass killings and I want to see the Christian and Jewish communities coming together to say this is unacceptable."

Eckstein urges Christians around the world to work together to overcome the rising tide of Islamic persecution against Christians.

"If all the Christians stand together to say we demand freedom, we do not stand with the people that are persecuting the Christians in the Middle East, and we are going to take action against them, even if that action is educaTION

ISIS in US Ready to Attack 'Any Target We Desire

Federal agents are stepping up their investigation of Islamic State's claims that it's responsible for Sunday's attack on the Mohammed cartoon competition in Garland, Texas.

The assault was carried out by Phoenix roommates Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi.

"Two soldiers … of the caliphate attacked an exhibit in Garland in American Texas, and this exhibit was holding a contest for drawings offensive to the prophet Muhammad," the jihadist group said on its al-Bayan radio station, according to the SITE Intelligence Group.

The group is now warning "the attack by the Islamic State in America is only the beginning..."

The message goes on to say ISIS has stationed "71 trained soldiers in 15 different states ready at our word to attack any target we desire. Of the 15 states, five we will name: Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, California, and Michigan."

Thailand’s new weapon to beat deep-south insurgency: DNA swabs

Thailand’s military government has introduced a new strategy to curb the insurgency that has rumbled on in the country’s jungle-blanketed deep south for more than a decade: DNA swabbing.
It has been widely panned for mishandling the economy and undermining democracy, but the top brass that seized power a year ago can point to a drop of more than 50 percent in attacks by Muslim Malay rebels across the restive region.
The police chief put in charge by the junta of the southern provinces bordering Malaysia, told Reuters that DNA samples have now been taken from more than 40,000 people, making arrests and prosecutions easier.
Resistance to Buddhist rule in the south spilled over in 2004 and, since then, more than 6,500 people – most of them civilians – have died in violence, including shootings and bomb attacks. Successive governments have failed to quell the separatist trouble.
The Muslim Attorney Centre in the province of Pattani says security-related charges this year are set to exceed 2014’s, in part because more DNA evidence is being used. Last year 37 people were charged in the province while in the first four months of this year the figure was 22.

Major General Anurut Kritsanakaraket, commander of the Southern Border Provinces Police Operation Centre, denied his forces were being heavy-handed.
He said that DNA testing, which includes saliva swabs of suspected rebels and analysis of post-blast explosive residues, was not arbitrary.

Netanyahu’s clinches deal to form new Israeli government

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clinched a deal to form a new government on Wednesday, just before a deadline was to expire, but the coalition will rule by only the slimmest of majorities in Israel’s turbulent parliament.
“Israel now has a government,” Naftali Bennett, the head of the far-right Jewish Home party announced at parliament after hours of haggling with Netanyahu’s Likud deputies over cabinet positions, which were not immediately announced.
Nearly two months after a convincing election victory, Netanyahu has struggled to put together a coalition after a former ally abandoned him this week.
With barely two hours to spare as a midnight (2100 GMT) deadline mandated by law approached, the source said Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud sealed an agreement with the ultranationalist Jewish Home, which advocates annexation of parts of occupied territory Palestinians seek for a state.
The sides were expected to announce their deal later on Wednesday evening, the sources said. Murder Investigation At Wandsworth Prison An inmate has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another prisoner died in hospital.

An inmate has been murdered at Wandsworth prison, police say.

Police were called to the jail in south London on Monday morning after receiving reports a male prisoner in his 60s had been found apparently dead in his cell.
Another prisoner in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
Wandsworth is the largest prison in Britain and one of the biggest jails in Western Europe, able to hold some 1,800 prisoners.
Since 1989 there has been extensive refurbishment and modernisation of the wings, including in-cell sanitation and privacy screens for cells occupied by more than one prisoner.
But a report in 2011 branded conditions inside "demeaning", "unsafe" and "below what could be classed as decent".
A Prison Service spokeswoman said: "An HMP Wandsworth prisoner was pronounced dead in hospital at 8.52am on Monday 4 May.
"A police investigation is ongoing, so it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."

Jungle Runway Lays Path for Evangelism

Missionaries recently traveled to the village of Mokndoma in Papua, Indonesia, with a goal to bring help and healing to those who live there.

"Our goal here is to plant a church that can reach out and reach the rest of the Wano people," missionary Tim Ingels said.

But first they had to find a way to get to the Wano missionaries. To do that they needed an air strip, something that would take years to build, working mostly with shovels and sticks. 

"Two years of work to get this thing done," Ingells said.

The project has been completed.

"To see the plane, circling by the first time is just surreal; it's just like, it's happening and he comes in and lands and you just feel the emotion, you know," he added. "It's so cool to have an airplane land, touch the ground."

The plane belongs to Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF).The group serves people living in isolated areas where transportation or communication is difficult. They enable the work of some 1,500 churches, healthcare organizations, relief agencies and mission groups. They also deliver Bible translation teams.

"We're here to celebrate the finishing of the complete Bible in the Hupla language," MAF pilot Mike Brown said.

"We've been partnering with the missionaries that have been working to translate this thing for years and years and years and so it's just great to be able to come and join them in the celebration," Brown explained.

The group also flies mercy missions.

Missionary Rebecca Ingels recalled one of those missions involving a litle boy named Mika.

"He was climbing in some trees yesterday with some other kids," she explained. "He fell and a branch impaled his abdomen."

"A man that was there finally notices him and pulled that branch off and ran to our house and we could feel this piece of wood in there, like an inch, inch and a half long really clear just above where it had gone in,"  Ingels recalled.

A frantic call for help was placed by shortwave radio to MAF.

Brown shared how they prayed for the boy: "Lord we just pray that infection hasn't set in and that the doctor can quickly take care of that issue and the he and the family can come back here. We put these things in Your hands, in Your name, amen."

Mika and his family were flown to a hospital where doctors found that the wood had pierced both small intestine walls. He was rushed to surgery. In less than a week Mika had recovered enough to be flown home.  

"We are really thankful because if that wood had stayed in there any longer, it could cause infection," Brown commented.

"In another day or two it could've made things much worse," Ingels said.

The airstrip is also used to fly newly trained Wano missionaries to other parts of the island, to share the word.

Each year MAF-US serves more than 600 non-profits, local government and mission organizations all over the world.

They enable ministries to provide isolated people with vital services and goods, while sharing the love of Christ in a tangible way. Some call them God's air force.

Feds Search Home in Muhammad Event Shooting

An Phoenix apartment was searched by federal agents Monday as part of an investigation into a shooting outside a Muhammad cartoon contest.

On Sunday, Texas police killed two gunmen after they opened fire on participants in a contest to draw cartoons of Islam's Prophet Muhammad in the Dallas suburb of Garland.

As the cartoon contest, hosted by the American Freedom Defense Initiative, was ending, two men arrived in a car, jumped out, and started shooting.

"This is very scary. We heard boom, boom, boom, and then all of a sudden we saw the cops everywhere," Garland resident Kim Easley told Dallas-Fort Worth's WFAA-TV.

"They drove up, got out, and opened fire on the security officer," Garland police spokesman Joe Harn said.

After the security guard was hit, Garland police returned fire, killing both gunmen.

Sunday's attack took place following remarks by Geert Wilders, a Dutch lawmaker known for his outspoken criticism of Islam.

"We are here in defiance of Islam to stand for our rights and freedom of speech," Wilders told contest participants. "That is our duty."Our message today is very simple," he continued. "We will never allow barbarism, never allow Islam, to rob us of our freedom of speech."

FBI agents are hoping the Phoenix residence will offer clues as to what motivated the shooting.

Meanwhile, there's evidence Sunday's attack was inspired by the Islamic State.

Approximately 20 minutes before the shooting, a Twitter account expressing support for ISIS used the hashtag #TexasAttack and indicated two men were going to give their lives for Allah.

An ISIS spokesman called the gunmen "brothers" of the Islamic Stat

There is a road that seems right, on this path is sexual immorality ,greed, rape, homosexuality, lesbianism, obscenity  it offers temporary satisfaction but the end thereof is destruction.
