POWER OF CONFESSION
Confession does a lot for our soul it is like working the
ground for the soil .Before the farmer
sows the seed he works the land ,removes the rock and pulls the stumps why?
Because seed grows better in prepared soil , confession invites God to walk the
acreage of our hearts , what is that thing that you can’t control, lust? anger?
greed? covetousness? gossiping ? envy? why don’t you confess to God and ask for
help today. Remember Peter who denied His Master when he should have defended
Him? How did the New testament writers know about the details of Peter failure?
How did Matthew know Peter accent made him a suspect? How
did Luke learn of the glance of Jesus that melted Peter heart? Who told all
four gospel writers about the crowing rooster and flowing tears? Most likely
Peter himself ! He might have said “Fellows I have got to get something off my
chest”. But how can we be sure Because Peter couldn’t stay away from Jesus
Christ, he was the first man to run to the empty tomb, he was the first person
to jump out of the boat and swim to Jesus who stood on the shore. Those who
keep secrets from God keep their distance from God but tjose who are honest
with God draw near to God SHALOM
